About X.Systems

Since 1991, X.Systems has provided strategic planning, project management, data modeling and both custom and off-the-shelf software solutions for e-business and publishing. X.Systems works with the entire information life cycle, developing approaches and systems that emphasize value while minimizing risks and costs.

In June of 2008, XSI became a unit of XyEnterprise, a leading developer of software products for content management and multichannel delivery.

We have developed and perfected techniques to assess requirements, develop implementation strategies and manage projects from concept to full operation. Our solutions are both creative and prudent, deploying appropriate technologies in low-risk ways.  As part of XyEnterprise, we will continue our commitment to our clients' success, leveraging the additional resources of a larger firm with deep roots in the information life cycle.

We have a seasoned, highly experienced management team in place, focused on our clients' success. In addition to the core protocols of e-commerce and e-business, XSI is expert in a number of key technologies including SGML, XML, JAVA, web application, FOSI-based publication and industry-leading structured authoring tools.

X.Systems has played major roles in successful planning and implementation efforts for some of the largest private and public sector organizations. For example, when the U. S. Navy needed a secure portal for use by the Chief of Naval Operations and his senior staff, it chose XSI to design, build and support it. That application has expanded to support for mission critical response, knowledge management and e-learning across the Navy's major staff organizations, winning XSI two Federal e-government awards in the process. Likewise, when GSA's Public Building Service needed an agency-wide portal application to track its nearly 5,000 building projects, it chose XSI. OMB worked with us to begin the transition of the Federal budget development process from a legacy system to XML, culminating in publication of the 2002 budget.

In the private sector, XSI has built major systems and tools for firms like Boeing, Pratt & Whitney, Lucent, Rockwell, World Book Publishing and The Bureau of National Affairs, all in the critical path of these organizations' ability to produce key information products.
We also support smaller organizations, many confronting complex, multimedia information for the first time and working on limited budgets. Walter Kidde Aerospace, for example, has a publications staff of only four but must support complex publications for virtually every aircraft manufacturer in the world. They chose to work with X.Systems.

Our customers and partners will tell you that X.Systems makes a truly unique commitment to client satisfaction and success. Dan Proctor, Director of The Texas Register sums it up; "X.Systems has held our hand since 1994, making sure that we achieved our goals and minimizing our risks as we faced change." Judy Flynn, Director of Publishing Systems for The Bureau of National Affairs, says; "X.Systems has been an important part of our success since 1993." Finally, Jerry Reitano of Boeing Space and Defense puts it this way; "these are the people I want at my side when the going gets tough."

If there is no substitute for success in your information world, X.Systems should be your partner.
